On Tuesday, October 14th, heaven received THE most beautiful angel.

Our sweet Avery passed peacefully, surrounded by so much love. For 5.5 years, Avery fought the challenges of cancer, always with a beautiful smile, driven by her passion to help animals and the families that loved them.

Many of you have been blessed to know her personally, a bright, shining light, who brought such joy and love to so many, people and pets. Truly, to know her, was to love her!

When Avery went into hospice care, in July, she told me that she doesn’t want people to be sad when she passes. So like Avery to always be thinking of others! 

While that thoughtful request is difficult now, Avery wants you to remember the kindness and support that she received, both personally and for her charity, that enabled her to live a fulfilling and inspirational life, if only for 18 years.

My daughter’s final words to me were, “ Tell everyone I love them! I have no regrets.”

We plan to honor Avery and her amazing legacy, by continuing her mission that, “ No pet should go hungry”. 

Avery’s Pawsitive Change will continue to serve the pets in our beloved community and beyond.
